The closed sleeve is lowered on its own line to just below the target interval and left to settle, then pulled up in one motion: the check valve opens, the sleeve fills from that interval and the valve reseals when it stops. It takes one grab per deployment, so it does not replace a pump for high-volume purging or continuous low-flow sampling. See our HydraSleeve guide.

HydraSleeve or pump?

A pump gives a continuous low-flow stream to stabilize parameters before sampling; a HydraSleeve needs no flow at all, which is why it works in wells that would go dry under a pump. For pumped sampling, see groundwater sampling pumps.

Standard or armoured, and what else do I need?

The armoured 2 in. sleeve adds a protective outer layer for rough or rocky wells.
