The parts between a calibration gas cylinder and the instrument. A regulator has to fit the cylinder's valve: C-10 regulators (5/8 in.-18 UNF) fit 29, 34 and 58 L aluminum and 103 L steel cylinders, as the NLB-8C10 demand-flow regulator (0.1 to 3.0 LPM) or the NLB-517 preset at 0.5 LPM, with a 1,000 psig maximum inlet; CGA 600 regulators fit 17 and 34 L steel cylinders, with fixed flows from 0.25 to 1.5 LPM, a 3/16 in. hose barb outlet and a 500 psig maximum inlet. Norlab cylinder carrying cases are hard plastic and hold two, three or four cylinders for safe transport and storage of calibration standards.

Which regulator fits my cylinder?

Match the connection: a C-10 (5/8 in.-18 UNF) fitting for 29, 34 and 58 L aluminum and 58 and 103 L steel cylinders, or a CGA 600 fitting for 17 and 34 L steel cylinders. Most of these regulators are designed for non-refillable cylinders.

Demand flow or fixed flow?

The NLB-8C10 is a demand-flow regulator (0.1 to 3.0 LPM); the NLB-517 is preset at 0.5 LPM, and the CGA 600 regulators run at fixed flows from 0.25 to 1.5 LPM. Use the type and flow your detector's maker specifies for calibration.
