Laboratory supplies FAQ

What can I order online?

The OHAUS shakers on this page show their price and can be ordered directly. Bags, bottles, jugs, containers, gloves, detergents and pipettes are quoted: send the items and quantities with a quote request.

Which bag for which sample?

Sterile Whirl-Pak bags for field and lab samples, Thio-Bags with sodium thiosulfate for chlorinated water, blender and filter bags for homogenizing, sponge bags for surface sampling, and autoclavable biohazard bags for lab waste. See Laboratory Bags.

Which sample bottle should I use?

Start from the lab's bottle list: analyses that need a preservative use the lab's own bottles. Clean HDPE bottles suit unpreserved general chemistry, sediment, sludge and product samples; sterile bottles are for microbiology; PTFE is for aggressive or trace-sensitive samples. Our sample bottles guide explains each.
