A well plug seals the top of a monitoring well casing. The Waterra EcoPlug is moulded from recycled glass-filled polymer with no metal parts, so it will not corrode; it fits 1, 2 and 4 in. Schedule 40 casing, seals with a watertight gasket and comes apart for decontamination. The Vapour Sampling EcoPlug adds a valve for drawing a sample of the headspace vapour, is pressure tested to 20 psi and is PFAS-free. ESP Torque Well Plugs tighten by hand, fit Schedule 80, 40 and 5 pipe from 1 to 4 in. and take a #3 padlock. Cherne well caps fit Schedule 40 PVC from 2 to 8 in. with no adapter and expand inside the pipe for a water- and vapour-tight seal.
Measure the casing: plugs are sized to the inside of the pipe and its schedule. EcoPlugs fit 1, 2 and 4 in. Schedule 40; Torque plugs 1 to 4 in. I.D. in Schedule 80, 40 and 5; Cherne caps 2 to 8 in. Schedule 40 PVC; the 2 in. Vapour Sampling EcoPlug fits casing from 1.99 to 2.21 in.
