ERE builds the soil and free-product side of a remediation job. Soil: the EvacuSol soil vapour extraction line (0.5 to 10 HP, explosion-proof, Class 1, Div. 1 and 2, Group D), with the portable EvacuSol 2 HP for pilot tests and the skid-mounted EvacuSol 10 HP for full-scale sites; the Sparging System (3 HP, 25 CFM, 15 PSI), which injects air below the water table; and BioVent, which aerates excavated soil in biopiles. Free product: the OlioSep DNAPL 3-Phase Separator (16 to 50 GPM) recovers light and dense NAPL and treats the water in one vessel, the DNAPL separator covers 2 to 16 GPM, and the Olio-Skim collects floating oil. OxyClean Advanced oxygen and BIIO bacteria speed up biodegradation.

Soil remediation equipment FAQ
Vapour extraction, sparging or a biopile?
Where the contamination sits decides. Volatile contaminants in the soil above the water table: soil vapour extraction. Dissolved contaminants below it: air sparging, almost always paired with SVE to capture the vapours it releases. Soil already excavated: a biopile, aerated by BioVent. See our guide to air sparging and bioventing.
Which EvacuSol size do I need?
The line runs from 55 SCFM open flow and 35 in. w.c. maximum vacuum (0.5 HP) to 400 SCFM and 98 in. w.c. (10 HP). Soil permeability, the number of wells and the radius of influence of each one decide the size; a pilot test with a small unit confirms it before the full-scale layout. Our SVE guide explains the sizing.
What does a three-phase separator do?
It splits pumped groundwater into three streams: floating oil (LNAPL) is skimmed off, dense liquid (DNAPL) such as chlorinated solvent, coal tar or creosote settles into the hopper, and the water leaves through the effluent chamber. The DNAPL separator's effluent carries less than 10 mg/L of oil droplets larger than 30 microns. Measure the product layers in the well first with an interface meter.
Can I rent the equipment?
Yes. ERE's remediation systems are offered for rental or purchase across Canada and the USA. Send the contaminants, the soil type, the depth to water and any pilot test data with a quote request.
