SteriWare is single-use labware from Sampling Systems: each tool is made and packed in a cleanroom, individually bagged, used straight from the bag and then discarded. Tools: powder spatulas, V-spatulas, micro-spatulas, sample spoons, PharmaScoop scoops, ladles and forceps. Containers: graduated beakers, jugs, bowls, trays, funnels and bottles. Most are polystyrene, polypropylene or HDPE that conforms to FDA and EU 10/2011 food-contact rules, many come sterile (SAL 10⁻⁶, gamma irradiated), and the ULTRA range is double-bagged USP Class VI HDPE. Swabbing kits and cleaning coupons support cleaning validation. SteriWare is quoted.
Many items come in both versions. Sterile ones are gamma irradiated to a sterility assurance level of 10⁻⁶ and packed in cleanroom conditions, for microbiological samples; non-sterile ones suit sampling where cleanliness, not sterility, is the requirement.
Powders: spatulas, V-spatulas, scoops and spoons, with volumetric scoops for a set dose and micro-spatulas for 0.3 to 2 ml. Liquids: ladles, jugs and liquid funnels. For bulk powder sampling, see Powder Samplers.
The ULTRA range is moulded from HDPE that meets USP Class VI and packed in two bags, some with a box liner as a third layer, so a layer can come off at each step on the way into a clean area.
