This collection holds single-use liquid samplers from Sampling Systems' SteriWare® range, assembled and packed in a cleanroom and offered sterile (SAL 10-6) or non-sterile, for pharmaceutical, food and chemical production as well as drum and tank work. For depth-specific samples, the LiquiThief handles low-viscosity liquids, suspensions and thin oils, the ViscoThief draws a sample when you pull up its handle, and the Thumb Tube works by thumb control. Jumbo Pipettes come in an 1,100 mm length for 200 L drums. For surface sampling and transfer there are ladles that fit a standard 2" bung, the LiquiDip Duo, funnels, graduated beakers and jugs.

A sampler used once needs no cleaning, so there is no cleaning validation to run and no carry-over between batches or containers. SteriWare samplers are made from FDA and EU-conforming plastics, packed in a cleanroom and individually bagged, and many are available gamma-sterilized, which suits pharmaceutical and food sampling.
A thief-type sampler. Lower the LiquiThief, ViscoThief or Thumb Tube to the depth you need and close or draw it there, so the sample comes from that level only. For a full top-to-bottom column of a layered liquid, use a coliwasa instead.
The ViscoThief has a 10 mm opening in its tip, against 1.5 mm on the LiquiThief, and comes in 500, 1,000 and 1,500 mm lengths; the further you pull its handle, the larger the sample. The Thumb Tube suits low- to medium-viscosity liquids.
SteriWare ladles are moulded in one piece to fit through a standard 2" bung, a common fitting on barrels and kegs. For a standard 200 L (55 gal) drum, the Jumbo Pipette in its 1,100 mm length is the size made for the job.
