Scrapers for clearing powder, paste and residue from surfaces, vessels and equipment. The Stainless Steel Scraper comes in 316L, for chemical resistance, or 420, a harder, surgical-grade steel that is more flexible, in two widths, with an ergonomic handle. The Hand Scraper is one-piece food-grade polypropylene with a stiff 250 mm blade for large areas, in red, white or blue. Single-use SteriWare scrapers are moulded and packed in a cleanroom and individually bagged: the blue PP SteriWare Scraper and the natural HDPE scraper (75 or 110 mm blades, sterile or not), and a blue metal-detectable scraper.
Scraper FAQ
316L or 420 stainless?
316L gives the chemical resistance; 420 is a surgical-grade stainless steel, harder than 316L, whose blade flexes more. Choose 316L for aggressive products and 420 when you need a flexible edge.
Why a coloured scraper?
Red, white and blue hand scrapers let a plant keep tools to one area or product; the bright blue SteriWare scrapers also stand out if one is left in a product, and the metal-detectable version can be found by a metal detector.
Single-use or reusable?
Single-use SteriWare scrapers come straight from the bag and are discarded, so there is no cleaning or carry-over; stainless and PP hand scrapers are reusable and cleaned between uses.
