How the Centipede Skimmer Works
The Centipede is installed directly in a cutting-machine sump and runs continuously, drawing tramp oil off the coolant surface without removing the coolant itself. Unlike belt or disk skimmers, it uses no blades or belts, so there is nothing to change, adjust, or wear out.
Oil selectivity is the core advantage: a traditional belt skimmer recovers about 51% oil and 49% coolant, whereas the Centipede recovers 93% oil and only 7% coolant. Because it separates oil from coolant on its own, no external separator is required.
