Neutralizer, carbon filter or treatment unit?
A neutralizer such as Odour Skunk™ is applied at the source and suits garbage areas, washrooms, carpets and wastewater odours. Carbon filters and media adsorb odour from the air that passes through them, which suits ventilated rooms and HVAC systems. A steady odour source with an exhaust, such as a sewage vent, calls for an activated-carbon unit sized to the airflow, such as the UltraSorber-ODOR™, which uses catalytic carbon for hydrogen sulfide and sulphur compounds.
What is in Odour Skunk™?
Odour Skunk™ is plant-based, non-toxic, biodegradable and non-irritating, with no parabens, chlorine, phosphates, SLS or dyes, and it is available without fragrance. It comes in sizes from a 500 mL bottle to a 1,000 L tote.
Can a carbon air filter fix an odour problem?
For intermittent odours, often yes. Sampson odour removal pleated filters are carbon-enhanced MERV 5 and 6 filters in 1, 2 and 4 in. depths that fit existing HVAC systems. They are also a low-cost way to test whether carbon will control a given odour before investing in a larger unit.
How do I control cannabis odours?
Cannabis odours come from terpenes and terpenoids and are strongest in curing, drying, cutting, extraction and packaging rooms. CannaSorber™ media adsorbs terpenes, terpenoids and VOCs, up to 60% of its own weight, and is treated against bacteria and mould. It ships in 40 lb bags.
