ERE supplies new and replacement filter cartridges for water treatment, process and high-purity applications. Depth cartridges include ERE's Sampson polypropylene melt-blown cartridges, the MicroSentry MB series and string-wound cartridges, while pleated cartridges and Watts Flow-Max Jumbo elements give more surface area. For chlorine, taste and odour there are carbon block cartridges and the MicroSentry SCB; for oil, Pentair's OAC Plus oil-adsorbing cartridges. Shelco MicroVantage membrane cartridges in PES, PTFE and nylon are absolute-rated down to 0.03 micron, including the MVS sterilizing-grade series, and MicroSentry SS cartridges are 304L or 316L stainless steel.

Send us the housing, the cartridge length and end style, and the micron rating you need.

Filter cartridge FAQ

Melt-blown or pleated cartridges?

Melt-blown cartridges are depth filters with graded density, coarser outside and finer at the core, so they suit high solids loads. Pleated cartridges have more surface area and last longer in lower-solids applications. Our filter cartridge guide compares the main types.

Nominal or absolute micron rating?

A nominal rating is a typical capture efficiency and can let part of the target particles through; an absolute rating is a firm cut-off. Specify absolute-rated cartridges, such as MicroVantage membranes or the Beta 5000 (99.98%) MPA, MDP and MPX series, when compliance or downstream equipment depends on it.

When should I change a cartridge?

Change it on differential pressure, not on a calendar: replace the cartridge when the pressure drop across the housing is about 10 to 15 psi above its clean baseline, or at the limit set by the manufacturer.

Do you have cartridges for my existing housing?

In most cases, yes. Tell us the housing make and model, or the length, diameter, end connection and rating of the cartridge you use now. ERE also supplies cartridge filter housings, from single-cartridge units to multi-cartridge and high-flow vessels.
