A free-flowing powder runs into the sampler on its own: push it in closed, open it at depth, let product enter, close it and withdraw. For an all-layer sample: the Multilevel Slot Sampler in 316L stainless, the Aluminum Slot Sampler (up to 880 ml), the Grain Spear, whose spiral pockets fill from the bottom first, and pocket samplers. For one point: the Mono Pocket Sampler, the 100 ml Point Sampler and the Sleeve Sampler, with 100 to 200 ml chambers and extension rods for depths up to 6 m. A multilevel sampler collects product from several depths in one pass, for an all-layer sample of a drum, sack or bin. A single-point sampler takes product from one chosen depth, to check a given level or to take a unit dose.
Taking a sample about the size of one dose from set points in a pharmaceutical blend. The U-D Master collects it in removable inserts from 0.1 to 4 ml, the MicroThief and MicroMate adjust from 0.01 to 0.1 ml, and the AccuPod keeps the sample in a single-use pod with a click-on lid, so it is not transferred before it reaches the lab.
Samplers come with a standard tip, which suits most powders. A pointed tip helps with hard, dense powders; a rounded tip lowers the risk of damaging your equipment. Additional tips in 316L stainless fit 25 mm and 40 mm samplers.
316L stainless steel is the choice when chemical resistance is needed. Anodized aluminum keeps long samplers light and easy to handle, as on the Grain Spear and the Aluminum Slot Sampler.
