Tubing and fittings for groundwater sampling. Waterra HDPE and LDPE tubing is made from 100% virgin polyethylene resin for Waterra inertial pump systems, from VOC and micro-flow to high-flow setups. HDPE is stiffer and rated to higher working pressures (65 to 250 psi at 73 °F) for deeper wells; LDPE is more flexible (70 to 135 psi) for shallower ones. It comes 1/4 to 1 in. OD in 100, 200 and 500 ft rolls, complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 and is listed PFAS-free by the resin supplier. Cords Canada barbed connectors join two tubes, and reducing connectors step down to a smaller diameter, in nylon 6 or black HDPE.
HDPE is more rigid and takes higher working pressures, up to 250 psi, which suits deeper wells; LDPE is more flexible, for shallower work. Both are 100% virgin polyethylene.
Waterra lists it as PFAS-free, verified by the resin supplier. Check the whole sampling train against your program's requirements before you order.
A barbed connector joins two tubes of the same size, from 1/8 to 1-1/2 in. ID; a reducing connector joins a larger tube to a smaller one, from 1/8 to 5/8 in. Nylon 6 is rated -40 to 100 °C and black HDPE -55 to 90 °C.
