Landfill gas analyzers measure methane, carbon dioxide and oxygen to tune extraction wells, check flare feed and watch migration probes. The QED GEM5000 is built for landfill gas collection: it measures CH4, CO2 and O2 with static and differential pressure, and calculates balance gas, flow and calorific value. The Geotech GA5000 is modular, with up to six gases including H2S and CO, for landfills and contaminated land. The BIOGAS 5000 is made for anaerobic digesters and carbon-credit projects, with optional H2S. The QED SEM5000 uses a tunable diode laser specific to methane, from 0.5 ppm to 100% by volume, for surface emission and wellhead leak surveys under EPA Method 21. Methane is explosive between roughly 5 and 15% in air and displaces oxygen in confined spaces, so the same readings serve compliance reporting and worker safety. The analyzers here carry ATEX or CSA certification for those atmospheres; check the rating against your site's classification.
