How the OlioSep™ DNAPL 3-Phase Separator Works

Influent enters the upper inlet chamber where flow is stilled by a diffuser plate. In the main settling chamber, light NAPL rises to the surface and is continuously skimmed through an adjustable weir to a dedicated oil collection port. The middle aqueous phase passes through high-efficiency hexagonal coalescer media to accelerate fine droplet separation, then exits via the mid-level effluent outlet.

Dense non-aqueous phases settle into the conical hopper bottom and are drawn off through a dedicated bottom port — either continuously via an interface-controlled transfer pump or periodically by the operator. Sight glass ports and high-level / oil-thickness float switches provide interface monitoring throughout.
