Overview

The RKI OHC-800 is an all-in-one explosion-proof gas calorimeter that continuously measures calorific value, density or Wobbe index of natural gas and other paraffinic hydrocarbon gases. Its Opt-Sonic method combines an optical and a sonic sensor to limit interference, with a T90 response within 5 seconds.

  • Continuous calorific value, density or Wobbe index, switched with one button
  • Opt-Sonic calculation (refractive index + sound speed) limits interference from other gases
  • T90 response within 5 seconds; repeatability ± 0.02 MJ/m³
  • For natural gas, LPG, biogas, hydrogen blends, steel gases, flare and refinery off-gas
  • Explosion-proof Ex d IIB+H2 T4, including hydrogen; IP66 / IP67
  • Operates from -20 to +57 °C
  • Self-diagnosis with function check and maintenance alerts; few consumables
  • 4-20 mA and RS-485 outputs; 100-240 VAC or 24 VDC

The sampling system is engineered for your gas and site. Request a quote for pricing and availability.
