The Dräger X-am 8000 is a 1 to 7 gas detector for clearance measurement and personal monitoring. It measures toxic and flammable gases, vapours and oxygen at once in pump or diffusion mode, takes PID, IR, CatEx and up to 3 electrochemical sensors, and guides confined space clearance with built-in assistants.
- 1 to 7 gases from 5 sensor slots: PID or IR Ex/CO2, IR or CatEx, plus 3 XXS electrochemical sensors
- Choice of more than 40 sensors: Ex, CO2, O2, CO, H2S, NO2, SO2, VOCs and benzene
- Optional integrated pump for hoses up to 45 m (148 ft); the pump adapter switches to diffusion
- Clearance assistant works out the flushing time from the gases, temperature and hose length
- PID HC (0 to 2,000 ppm isobutylene) or PID LC ppb (from 10 ppb); benzene-specific readings with a pre-tube
- Automatic range switch from % LEL to vol % for high methane
- Colour display, 100 dB horn at 30 cm, alarm LEDs and vibration; inductive charging
- IP68; ATEX, IECEx and cCSAus Class I Zone 0

How fast will I get a price?
Send the quote request and a specialist replies within 4 business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 4:30 ET.
Can we pay on account or by purchase order?
Yes. With established credit, terms are Net 30 days, and you can send your purchase order with the quote request. We also accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
How is shipping charged?
On quotes and account orders, freight is F.O.B. Montréal: the carrier charge is worked out at shipment from the packed weight and dimensions, and added to your invoice. In-stock items can also be picked up the same day in Montréal (8605 rue du Champ-d'Eau).
Can I return it?
Yes, within 30 days of purchase, with a return authorization number from customer service first. A 25% restocking fee applies, unless it is a defect covered by the warranty. Special orders, hazardous materials, flammable liquids and gases can't be returned. Return policy
Can ERE calibrate or repair it?
Yes. Our Montréal service shop calibrates and repairs it in-house. Request service
