Controllers that drive groundwater sampling pumps and set their flow. For bladder pumps: the Solinst Model 464 electronic controller (125 or 250 psi output) runs up to 100 hours on four AA batteries, stores up to 99 user flow rates and can also run manually from a compressed gas source; Geotech 300 and 500 psi BP controllers drive bladder pumps to 690 ft (210 m), with fill and discharge timers from 5 to 120 seconds. For Proactive 12V pumps: the Low Flow Sampling Controller, the Power Booster and the Low Flow With Power Booster models regulate flow down to 40 ml/min, with a low-voltage disconnect.
Match it to the pump. The Solinst 464 and Geotech BP controllers run bladder pumps on compressed gas; each Proactive controller is engineered for specific 12V pumps, such as the stainless Monsoon, Hurricane and Mega-Monsoon XL pumps or the Abyss 300 plastic pump.
A steady, adjustable flow, typically 100 to 500 ml/min. The Proactive controllers regulate 12V pumps down to 40 ml/min with a turn of a knob; bladder pump controllers set the fill and discharge cycle. See water sampling pumps.
Geotech's BP controllers take input air up to 300 psi and operate to 690 ft (210 m); the Solinst 464 gives 125 or 250 psi output, depending on model.
