Overview

The OlioSep™ Slant Rib is a coalescing oil/water separator that uses inclined corrugated (slant-rib) plate packs to accelerate the gravity separation of free and dispersed oils from water. Custom-engineered and fabricated at ERE's Montréal facility, each unit pairs a stainless steel hopper-bottom tank with a heavy structural steel support frame for stable, freight-ready installation.

How It Works

Oily water enters the inlet and flows through a pack of closely spaced, inclined slant-rib plates. The large coalescing surface area forces small oil droplets to merge into larger ones that rise quickly to the surface for skimming, while suspended solids settle into the conical hopper bottom. Clarified water discharges from the outlet. Separation is driven entirely by gravity and density difference — no power required.
