KDF 55 is engineered for chlorine reduction in point-of-entry municipal water; KDF 85 reduces ferrous iron and hydrogen sulfide in groundwater. Both grades extend the life of downstream carbon, softeners and RO by controlling scale and microbial growth without chemical addition. Proper system sizing to service flow is the single most important factor in performance.
